2011 Piper/Honda DF5

Ex-Lockwood/Goughary and finished 3^rd in points for the 2011 Pro 1600 Series.    This 71 year old racer bought it for his “SCCA Farewell Tour”.  Had my fun and it is now time to pass this weapon on to someone who can use it well. 

Car includes most, if not all Piper options:

• ·         Triple adjustable Penskes
• ·         Stainless steel floor
• ·         3^rd Front spring setup ($1030 option, not installed)
• ·         Rear undertray
• ·         Oil cooler
• ·         Alum diff (13/36 ratio)
• ·         AIM EV04 data system with Shock Pots (nice)
• ·         Quicksilver prepped Honda engine
• ·         Gun drilled axles
• ·         3 sets of FastForward wheels, one with virtually new rain tires mounted
• ·         A complete set of spares (all NEW in bubble wrap) for suspension, uprights, arms, links, brackets, rod ends, adjusters, etc including a spare steering rack!
• ·         Wired for radio, including a spiffy antenna installation
• ·         Bead seat (seems to fit several people)
• ·         transponder

 I added a few more spare items that I bought from FastForward ( www.piperracecars.com) including an axle, a nose, two skid plates (new design) and many camber adjustment shims.  I also added a steering sensor to the data system).  Also as spares, the following are included:

• ·         Ten springs- new or nearly, sized for incrementally tuning the car (i.e. useful)
• ·         Two sets Brake pads (new)
• ·         Complete and HPD verified Honda harness
• ·         Fuel pump (new)
• ·         Several air intake ducts (different sizes)
• ·         Air filters (2), gas filters (2)
• ·         Twenty LD200 gears, lightly used, some unused
• ·         Taylor LD200 assy tool (used once, $90)

Son Sean ran the Piper at the VIR Pro race in April (his car broke) and I drove it at one National, one Regional and one race of the Summit Pro weekend.  The tires have ONE heat cycle on them and I have 12 other Pro tires with few heat cycles on them.  I have copies of the Lockwood/Goughary setup sheets, plus copies of all their AIM data (which is very useful.)
